I was part of the team that championed using Delicious as our new "best websites" and I think we did good!

I love that we no longer have to go through several levels of heirarchy to make changes to the best webistes. Tagging isn't consistent and as a librarian I would love to have consistent tagging! Having said that I think that we use a fair bit of library-speak which makes it difficult for our customers to find what they are looking for.

My First Blog

this is the first time I've set up a blog tho I've spent a great deal of time reading them! I don't often post on other sites either so this is all rather new. I know I won't meet the standards of my favorite bloggers but since they've been blogging for years and I've just started it shouldn't be at all surprising!

My favorite blogs are:

boing boing - a multipurpose, multiple posters blog. It covers current event, science, science fiction and much much more
whatever - this is John Scalzi's blog. Basically he blogs about whatever interests him. Luckily for me he usually writes about science fiction
No moods, ads or cutesy fucking icons - Peter Watts' blog. Another SF writer I love who also is a scientist and is a bit of a curmudgeon but is also very funny.
